Memphis Treasures was born out of a desire to record, preserve and release the stories that made Memphis the city that it is today. I wanted to provide a platform for Memphians to tell their story in such a way that we could hear directly from the person. Also important was the preservation of these stories, memories and thoughts of the individuals who played such a part in our history.
A podcast and blog is the perfect medium in which to disseminate this information as it allows the listener to pick and choose which subjects, people and events that interest them. I hope this endeavor both teaches and entertains the listener/viewer and that we will all collectively gain a better understanding of our great city.
